Birkbeck believes that embedding environmental awareness into our education system is central to tackling climate change, which contributes to global challenges such as food security, increasing demand for energy and water and environmental degradation. 

We strive to consider the implications of these issues across the curriculum and provide experiential opportunities for students to link this learning to the world beyond Birkbeck. Our students graduate equipped with ecological awareness and a suite of transferrable skills and many have gone on to successful careers as sustainability entrepreneurs.
