Accommodation for continuing full-time students
If you are a full-time student in your second year or above, you have a number of options to choose from.

University of London - INtercollegiate Halls
- You can apply directly for space at in the intercollegiate halls with the University of London Accommodation services. For information on the process, visit the UoL website and scroll down to direct bookings. Applications are dealt with on a first-come, first-served basis by the University of London Accommodation team. Access the University of London Accommodation portal for live availability and to access the application form.
- In early September, all intercollegiate rooms that haven't been filled by colleges via the quota system will be released for direct booking on the University of London Accommodation portal. Please note, however, that there is no guarantee which accommodation is going to be available and it is a first-come, first-served process managed by the University of London Accommodation.

Independent halls of residence
- London has a variety of independent, privately owned and charity-run halls of residence, offering a large range of accommodation from dorms to flats, with options for every budget.
- You can book accommodation directly on each organisation's website or on the University of London independent provider list (short stay) property platform. Most halls operate on a first-come first-served basis.

UNIVERSITY OF LONDON'S APARTMENTS
- Located in Bloomsbury, these University of London-owned apartments offer a great alternative to halls of residence for students who would like more independence and focus.
- The flats are self-catered and fully-furnished.
- Contact the University of London Property Management Unit (PMU) for more information.
- There is no formal application process and spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

help with private accommodation
- Birkbeck students have full access to the University of London Housing Services (ULHS).
- ULHS has a registration scheme for private landlords, letting agents, private halls and other providers of private accommodation for students and staff. These accommodation providers advertise their properties and rooms on the ULHS online database.
- ULHS also provides advice and assistance with the process of finding somewhere to rent as well as during the time you are renting. The experienced Housing Advice Team offer a contract checking service before you sign up to anything and also legal advice for those who are experiencing problems with private accommodation such as deposit disputes.
