Development and fundraising
- The Development team uses events and campaigns to fundraise from alumni, major donors and trust funders. Money raised provides support for students and contributes to a range of projects across the College.

- Event toolkit: our event toolkit will help you successfully organise an event, from start to finish.
- Graduation ceremonies
- Inaugural lectures: the College invites all newly appointed professors to give an inaugural lecture, on a topic of their choice, to celebrate their success and mark their appointment. The lecture should be directed at their peers and should last about 45-60 minutes, including time for questions. Please contact our events team if you wish to discuss your inaugural lecture.

Team Birkbeck: student ambassadors for the college community
- The College has recently established Team Birkbeck, the University’s first student ambassador programme, in order that we have an informed and engaged group of students who are willing to represent the College or act as ambassadors at relatively short notice.

- Websites: Birkbeck's web presence is managed and supported by staff in both External Relations and ITS. The content management system we use is Plone, an open-source CMS, designed to make it possible for staff to work on web pages without needing prior knowledge of HTML. Many people work on our website, so we have developed a range of support materials and networks to help you:
