Linking London Uni Connect Update - May 2025
May 2025 update from Uni Connect.

April has been a busy and exciting month for the Uni Connect team.
Project Evaluations at Birkbeck
Birkbeck has completed evaluations for both the Pathways and Community Leadership projects, including a comprehensive longitudinal study. The findings will be shared with our partners during our upcoming annual project review. In addition, Birkbeck has launched a new initiative in partnership with Camden Council aimed at upskilling council staff to better support and signpost adult learners of the future.
Access Fortnight Planning Underway
We're now gearing up for Access Fortnight, taking place from 13–24 October. If you're working with Access learners and would like to get involved, please reach out to Ruby at r.runnallspalmer@linkinglondon.ac.uk.
Webinar Series Success
Our recent webinar series has been well received! March’s session attracted over 80 attendees and featured engaging discussions from Greenwich, University of West London, and SOAS on the pros and cons of university, apprenticeships, and whether higher education is still worth it. We were also joined by student ambassadors and apprentices, who shared personal insights into their respective journeys.
Next Webinar: Creative Careers
Looking ahead, our next webinar will take place on Wednesday 25 June and focuses on Creative Careers in response to the Mayor of London’s pledge for increased creative job funding. We’re excited to welcome speakers from Point Blank Music and University of the Arts London, who will explore creative courses and career paths and why the arts are a worthwhile pursuit.
